Worth it? YES as a functional anchor: it's where you start Angels Landing / the West Rim, connect to Emerald Pools via the Kayenta Trail, or picnic on the shaded lawn between hikes. The play: know it as your trailhead stop, use the restrooms/lawn, and launch your hike early.

Who it’s NOT for: Anyone expecting a viewpoint or attraction — it's a trailhead/picnic hub, not a sight in itself. Visitors wanting solitude — it's a busy shuttle stop where Angels Landing hikers gather. Travelers with no plan to hike from here — it's most useful as a launch point (Angels Landing/West Rim/Kayenta).

Skip it if: You're not hiking from here and just want scenery — ride to the Temple of Sinawava (Riverside Walk/ Narrows) or the overlooks instead. Otherwise it's a natural stop for hikers.

Time needed: A stop of minutes to picnic or launch a hike; the hikes it feeds range from ~1 hour to a full day. (research: NPS)

Best time: Early morning to launch Angels Landing/West Rim before heat and crowds; midday for a shaded picnic between hikes. Open whenever the shuttle runs. Confirm live.

Cost: $Booking: None to be here (free canyon shuttle stop). Note: hiking Angels Landing FROM here requires an Angels Landing permit past Scout Lookout (see angels-landing).
